about

Kamikaze is a song about falling off the wagon when you're depressed; about the times I've gone out to have a crazy time just to cover how I'm feeling (which often means it goes wwaaayyy over the top)

I had a lot of trouble producing this track, since the melody and lyrics are quite complicated it was hard to fit a standard arrangement around. In the end, deleting most of he drum kit was the only thing that worked

lyrics

I jumped upon a rocket to outer space
And it shot us into orbit kaboom
And I couldn't get the wreckage back off my face
When we crashed into the side of the moon
And now I'm falling apart

Hey hey, I'm trying but I can't remember the days
Hey hey, the spin around my head a-rat-a-tat-a-tat

Can you come and take me out because I'm falling
Can you come and take me out get me high
But the oxygen has got me feeling like a kamikaze going down

I message hit us straight out of ground control
It said that no one's coming back here alive
So I was lifted up to an all-time-low
But its easier then just getting by

Hey hey, I'm trying but I can't remember the names
Hey hey, the spin around my head a-rat-a-tat-a-tat

Can you come and take me out because I'm falling
Can you come and take me out get me high
But the oxygen has got me feeling like a kamikaze going down

The strange machine which is Fronz Arp grinds like a tattered, angry little hurdy gurdy. With dramatic jaunt and seesawing melodies that have been compared to weird-pop wonders, such as David Bowie and Tom Waits
