about

This was the final song written for the album and I wanted to create something more sparse compared to the rest of the album. The first lines, "There are holes in me in shapes I recognise, of all the people that I love" had been burning through my note book for 6 months and I hadn't managed to use them, though I was desperate to

lyrics

There are holes in me in shapes I recognise
of all the people that I love
and all the things that I don't have
they're wide and deep enough to see the other side
and watch the people walking by
their faces as the multiply
And the more I try to fill them with the things I find
the more I cannot get enough
I'll tell you when I've had enough

Can you help me
what more can I do
when the darkness is taking over
and I'm breaking
but if I can't make the choice
what am I supposed to do
when the darkness is taking over
what will be left to fill the holes

Hold on tight we're getting out of here
before the fools arise from sleep
Before the holes have swallowed me
they can keep us down but the can't keep us apart
I'll tell you when I've had enough
if you tell me when you've had enough

“...songs full of drama and action, designed to get pulses racing and yet still sounding both intricate and adventurous” Rave Magazine
